Airlines Offering Travel Waivers for Winter Storm Leo

As Winter Storm Leo continues to wreak havoc on the United States, more and more airlines have announced they will be offering travel waivers for passengers impacted by the inclement weather.
According to FoxNews.com, meteorologists expect Winter Storm Leo to dump heavy rain and snow throughout the Plains and the Midwest before ultimately making its way to the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast.
The weather front has already caused massive problems in California, including mudslides, flooding, road closures and even several deaths attributed to Winter Storm Leo, according to Weather.com.
As for how airlines are handling the situation, American Airlines announced that passengers flying out of the Mid-Atlantic would be able to change their flights, but the journey must still be between the same cities and in the same cabin.
Delta Air Lines announced that flights which are canceled or delayed by 90 minutes or more would be eligible for a full refund. Passengers flying out of the Northeast on Monday or Tuesday were able to switch their bookings to no later than Friday.
For Southwest Airlines and United Airlines, passengers who are booked to fly Tuesday will be eligible to switch their flights to a later date. Southwest passengers have 14 days to rebook their trip and United customers have until Friday to reschedule their flights.
As always, with any storm causing delays or cancellations, the best bet for any traveler is to call your airline or transportation provider and ask about any additional travel interruptions.
