Ann Coulter Blasted For Suggesting Captain Is Intoxicated

Conservative pundit and speaker Ann Coulter is under fire this morning for a tweet in which she suggested the captain of a JetBlue flight she was on, which was delayed because he hadn’t arrived yet, was intoxicated.
Coulter immediately drew a sharp rebuke on the social media forum for her tweet.
It is not known which flight Coulter is on, but she clearly wasn’t happy about being delayed and started off a series of tweets with this:
.@JetBlue just announced we can't leave BECAUSE THE CAPTAIN HASN'T ARRIVED YET. Now, we have to worry about him flying drunk.

Coulter then followed up with several more tweets, saying, “I knew what time the flight was leaving. Why didn't @JetBlue's captain?”, and adding “Great- @jetblue will give us free movies! I didn't want a movie. I wanted to arrive on time, not to wait for captain.”
Coulter was almost immediately taken to task on Twitter. Although one poster said he agreed with her and wouldn’t get on the plane, most others criticized her.
@AnnCoulter @JetBlue Or more likely he's deadheading in on another flight that's delayed, or even flying that flight. But smear away Ann.

And …
@AnnCoulter @JetBlue ...libel suit ensues...

And …
@AnnCoulter @JetBlue why is that your first assumption?

Author and flight attendant Heather Poole even jumped into the fray.
One thing to get angry at an airline for not having enough staff on standby, but to accuse an innocent person of being drunk?! @AnnCoulter
