As for the nationalities of the other casualties, four were Canadian, two were Swedes and one was Mexican. One of the victims was also a minor.
One of the passengers on the bus that crashed, 32-year-old Vítor Maciel Fontes Jacques, told ABCNews.com that he suffered a broken clavicle and one of the people he was traveling with suffered a head injury that required surgery.
“The bus somehow went down the side of the road,” Fontes Jacques said. “Then the driver pushed it over and it started flipping over. And then the bus flipped on its side.”

According to ABCNews.com, the bus was traveling through the southeastern part of the Yucatan Peninsula Tuesday at around 10 a.m. local time when the accident occurred. No further details about the crash itself have been revealed.
A spokesperson for the attorney general's office in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo told the media the nationalities of the passengers on the bus were American, Italian, Swedish and Brazilian.
