French authorities have launched an investigation following a grisly discovery made at an Airbnb rental in suburban Paris.
Agence France-Presse reported a group of young people who rented the property for a birthday celebration over the weekend stumbled upon a decomposing body in the garden. "Her body was found at the bottom of the property which opens out into a woods," a police source told AFP.
The source added that the unidentified woman's body was "hunched in a dug-out area, her head against the ground, covered in branches and surrounded by wood stumps."

Authorities questioned the renters over the weekend, but considering the severity of the decomposition, they don't believe the renters are connected to the death.
An autopsy is pending and necessary to determine the cause of death.
The listing, which is located approximately10 miles south of Paris in the French town of Palaiseau, was removed from Airbnb's website Sunday. The seven-bedroom house, which boasts a swimming pool and dates back to the 19th century, was going for roughly $435 per night.

The home owner and host told Le Parisien he was "flabbergasted" by the discovery and that he believes someone discarded the body by his home. Despite it being the first time he's listed his property on Airbnb, the host said he's "not disappointed."
