Eric Thieling Moves to DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago–Magnificent Mile

DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago–Magnificent Mile has appointed Eric Thieling as General Manager. Most recently, Thieling served as General Manager of DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Detroit Downtown-Fort Shelby.
In his new role, Thieling will be responsible for overseeing operations of the property and its latest renovation project. The guest rooms, lobby arrival experience, meeting space, pool and patio, and restaurant will undergo a complete transformation.
A 13-year hospitality veteran, Thieling began his career in hospitality by interning at Thomas Keller’s Michelin-starred Per Se in New York City. From there, Thieling entered the hotel industry, working at Four Seasons Hotel Boston, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Boston–Cambridge, Hilton Baltimore, New York Hilton Midtown and Hilton Columbus Downtown.
Thieling holds a Bachelor’ of Liberal Arts & Science degree in Political Science from University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut and a certificate of Culinary Arts from the Connecticut Culinary Institute.
