People Monica Poling July 28, 2018

A month after the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) announced it was fire president and CEO George Szigeti, the agency responsible for marketing Hawaii as a visitor destination has initiated the search for three key leadership positions.
The HTA has retained Honolulu-based executive search firm Inkinen & Associates to fill the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, and Vice President of Marketing and Product Development.
The executive search firm was identified and selected after a request for quotation (RFQ) bid process was initiated by the HTA board of directors. Three sub-committees, each led by select board members, will review viable applicants and designate finalists for each position.
Interested applicants should submit a resume with a cover letter and salary requirements to Inkinen & Associates by August 24, 2018.
Complete job descriptions for each position can be found at hawaiitourismauthority.org/who-we-are/careers.
Hawaii’s tourism industry is a key economic driver, generating billions of dollars in revenue.
According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Szigeti, who was originally contracted through 2020, earned an annual salary of $297,675.
