Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Appoints Siuyin Ko As Corporate Director Of Sales
SiuYin Ko has been appointed corporate director of sales by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. In this role, she will provide leadership and strategic direction for Rosewood’s North American Regional Sales organization. SiuYin will also establish a new regional office in San Francisco – expanding the brand’s global sales footprint with its thirteenth regional office and its second west coast office – and will focus on establishing key business partnerships and elevating brand awareness in the region.
SiuYin joins Rosewood as a global sales leader and entrepreneur having formed Chrysalis Development Group to provide strategic services to a variety of leading luxury and lifestyle hotel brands. SiuYin boasts extensive experience in the incentive, meetings and events industry, including over 20 years at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts where she served as regional director of sales. Under her effective leadership, her sales teams achieved top honors within the Four Seasons Worldwide Sales Organization. In addition to her tenure at Four Seasons, her prior roles both at CSI DMC and The Performance Group allowed her to work collaboratively and as a trusted partner to clients nationwide.
Cruise Planners Adds Lowman as Director of Training and Development
Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Representative, the nation’s leading home-based travel agency network is committed to the best training and support for its growing travel agent network. This month, Stacy Lowman joined the team in a new role created to heighten the focus on travel agent and internal training and development. Lowman is a veteran in training and employee development who comes to Cruise Planners with extensive prior travel industry and human resources experience.
Lowman will combine his experience from various roles to enhance the current training programs at Cruise Planners. He most recently served as VP of human resources, World Travel Holdings, with oversight of corporate communications and talent development and supported their home-based divisions. During his tenure, he helped the company earn a Gold Magellan Award for the new agent training program, an honor that Cruise Planners has also consistently earned. Lowman has a continuous improvement mindset and strives to stay ahead of the curve with new learning methodology, which will be important to the role.
Laura Saeger Joins BTA as Director of Sales & Business Development
The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of veteran travel industry professional Laura Saeger, CMM, CMP as director of sales & business development. Saeger was selected following a thorough interview process for the position that has been vacant since September 2016. In addition to 10 years of management experience with South African Tourism in New York City, her background includes positions as Director of Sales with NYC-based destination management companies (DMC) and facilities management.
Casa De Campo Resort & Villas Appoints Jason Kycek As New Vice President Of Sales & Marketing
In a move aimed at driving focus to brand excellence and furthering the reach of Casa de Campo Resort & Villas internationally, Jason Kycek has recently been appointed as the new vice president of sales and marketing for the luxury resort. With over 15 years of professional experience, Kycek will facilitate the company's growth and marketing strategy.
Previously, Kycek was Vice President of sales and marketing for the Edgewater Hotel & Spa. Prior to this, he held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Occidental Hotels and Resorts, overseeing the U.S. sales and marketing initiatives for the company's Caribbean, Mexican, and Latin American properties. Jason has also worked with Capella Hotels and KSL Resorts along with the luxury consortia markets. He holds a degree from the University of Wisconsin.
With more than 15 years of experience as a global hotelier, Kycek is acknowledged for his achievements in luxury resort, spa, & golf brand positioning, technical services, hotel openings, revenue management, operations and sales and marketing. He will be based in the Dominican Republic.
Katzman Named Director of Sales & Marketing for Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa & Marina
Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa & Marina has appointed hospitality veteran Gil Katzman director of sales and marketing. Katzman joins the luxury Eastern Shore resort from HEI Hotels and Resorts and BayStar Hotels Group, where he has served as task force director of sales and marketing since 2015.
Katzman began his career in hospitality with Hilton Hotels, where he served in various sales and marketing roles at properties including Hilton Palacio del Rio in San Antonio, Waldorf Astoria New York, and Miami’s Hilton Airport and Fontainebleau Hilton Resort.
A native of Tel Aviv, Israel, Katzman earned a BS in Hospitality Management and Economics from the University of Houston.
