AdventureWomen, the leader in women-only adventure travel for more than 35 years, has announced 40 different itineraries for 2020—including the first women-only group trips to Oman and Ladakh, India, as well as the only current women-only tour to Antarctica-making it the most expansive and diverse lineup in the company's history.
"Based on our ongoing research with guests, we've expanded our offerings to bring diversity and in-demand experiences to women adventure travelers across eight categories," said co-owner Judi Wineland.
With the introduction of AdventureWomen's new itineraries in Oman, the company will become the only tour operator offering women-only trips to this unique destination. The new Oman itinerary falls under the Women-to-Women Exchanges category of tours, which aim to bond female travelers across cultures and geographic boundaries.
The itinerary will feature an opportunity to eat a traditional dinner with an Omani family and meet with female entrepreneurs at the Sidab Women's Association.

The company will also feature a line of Adventure Cruises including a new journey to Antarctica, the sole women-only tour to the continent while continuing to offer its exciting cruises to Galapagos and Croatia. Travelers can catch glimpses of Antarctica's iconic icebergs, penguin families and majestic blue glaciers—all from the comfort of an expedition vessel that is small enough to dock at shores where larger boats cannot.
For trekking and hiking, the Camino Portuguese Route will be offered again, as well as a new itinerary to trek through Northern India's region of Ladakh, the only women-only group tour to the region. For female travelers excited to view nature's most enticing animals in their natural habitat, Wildlife Viewing offers an adventure in Indonesia, the Uganda Gorilla Trek, Alaska Bear Viewing and safaris in Botswana and Tanzania.
To cultivate women-led Cultural Exploration, AdventureWomen will offer several trips to regions including Thailand and Laos, as well as a brand-new biking trip through the California wine region. In order to offer female travelers Challenging Adventure experiences, AdventureWomen has included its classic adventure-driven tours to Mount Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp.
The 2020 tours will include Mother-Daughter trips, offering a new destination, Costa Rica, alongside the company's existing itineraries in Iceland and Baja. These multi-generational trips offer activities for various levels and experiences to last a lifetime.
AdventureWomen will also offer two new Winter Sports itineraries, one to explore Iceland and see the Northern Lights, and the other to see the best of the Canadian Rockies. Guests will explore the thriving ecosystem of Kananaskis County in Canada's Rocky Mountains by snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and even dog sledding-the ultimate trip for active women.
