Austin Adventures is having a good 2018. Sales are growing and repeat business is on the rise.

"In 2018 we're experiencing double-digit growth overall and especially in requests for custom and exclusive itineraries," said Dan Austin, founder and president of the tour company.

"Alumni travelers and their friends account for fully 60 percent of this season's success," Austin added.

And Austin Adventures listens to its customers, acknowledging their feedback when planning new itineraries for 2019.

Hiking proved to be one of the highlights for 2018 travelers and there are new hiking itineraries to destinations around the world next year, including Banff, British Columbia's Purcell Mountains, Twelve Apostles in Australia, Tasmania's Cradle Mountain, Provence, the North Cascades in Washington, Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way and Edinburgh to Loch Lomond in Scotland.

Austin will also expand its small ship adventure cruising options after positive customer feedback. New cruises will take guests to in Alaska's Prince William Sound, Hawaii, the Sea of Cortez in Baja, Costa Rica and Panama and Bali, Indonesia.

The tour operator has added a number of multisport itineraries around the world to its 2019 catalog. Guests can now travel with Austin on an adventure in Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand; Italian Lakes; Austria and the Czech Republic; Chile, Argentina and Patagonia; and a national parks adventure in Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon.

Also, after numerous customer requests, Dan and Carol Austin have put together a new and growing list of hotels and resorts around the world that they recommend after more than 35 years of traveling. The Austin Collection debuted this summer and includes several luxury adventure lodges.

The chosen locations have several attributes that set them apart. Many are isolated and remote; offer chef-prepared, fresh and locally sourced foods and wines; provide opportunities to indulge in destination-specific outdoor recreation; offer immersion in local cultures and traditions; and leave travelers with a feeling of exclusivity with VIP pampering, services, and experiences.
