Tour Operator Contiki May 24, 2019

WHY IT RATES: The new trips take into account the destinations that are topping millennial's and Gen Z’s must-see lists.—Patrick Clarke, TravelPulse Senior Writer
As young travelers continue to search for far-flung, exotic and Insta-worthy destinations for 2020, leading social travel company Contiki has launched five brand new trips to Patagonia and Colombia, and 13 improved trips across Latin America in the latest product release for the region.
The five new trip itineraries boast once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including a boat safari through Patagonia’s iconic Perito Moreno Glacier fields, a hike through the wilderness of Torres del Paine, and optional Ice Climbing at Los Glaciares National Park. In Colombia, travelers can jump-start their adrenaline with paragliding or white water rafting in San Gil, trek to the ‘Lost City’ of Ciudad Perdida and camp overnight on the pristine coastline of Tayrona National Park.
Patagonia is widely considered to be one of the last great ancient and untamed habitable parts of the world remaining, and arguably the closest to the unexplored glacial wilderness outside of Antarctica.
Colombia, an under-represented tourist destination for many years, is now being revealed as a biodiverse, culturally rich, and relatively untapped corner of Latin America.
In addition, the 13 improved trip itineraries across Contiki’s existing Latin America product offer more local experiences than ever before, including a day trip to Argentina’s Gaucho country for lunch at a traditional Estancia; Tequila tasting in Mexico’s famous town of Tequila; and sunset sailing in the Belize island of Caye Caulker.
Contiki’s Latin America product is exclusively for travelers, ages 18-35, looking to meet like-minded people on small group travel adventures of 30 max. Young people traveling with Contiki can expect unique accommodations; the expertise of a highly trained team of multi-lingual Trip Managers & Local Guides; and transport in private mini-coaches, with internal flights and trains to get to destinations quicker and more comfortably.
