G Adventures Returns to Egypt

Now that Egypt has its new constitution in place and the country increasingly seems to have settled down again, tour operators are eager to return, and one of the first to take that step is G Adventures.
The Toronto-based small group adventure specialist just announced that it would be returning to the country with its full roster of trips as of Jan. 1, 2014.

G Adventures is restoring its former programs to operation with one principal alteration: some overnight trains that were previously used on the programs are currently out of service, so they will be substituted with planes. The company is not raising the prices to cover the additional cost of the air fare.
With security being the number one concern on the minds of Americans contemplating returning to Egypt, G Adventures is addressing the issue head on.
"We have an operational office in Cairo and team members on the ground who are monitoring the situation daily. We’re excited to be able to give our travelers the opportunity to travel safely, and our operational crew and CEOs (chief experience officers) the opportunity to get back to work, showing people the country they are passionate about," said G Adventures managing director John Warner.
“We know G Adventures travelers are curious and adventurous, and there is no better time to see the wonders of Egypt with less crowds, and to give back to its communities, many of which rely heavily on tourism as a means of local income.”
The company offers seven trips to Egypt, two that include trips to Jordan. Its eight-day Best of Egypt trip is priced from $999. The Egypt and Jordan Adventure is a 17-day trip priced from $1,980.
