Tour operator insightCuba has launched a new brand that will take its renowned people-to-people travel offerings beyond Cuba and all over the world. This new brand, Masala Expeditions, launches with nine small group tours.
One-third of the new itineraries, which will feature 16 or fewer guests and range from seven to 14 days in length, are planned for Asia, but travelers can also explore Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
Masala will offer a seven-day tour of Iceland starting June 14, but first up will be a 12-day safari through Kenya and Tanzania departing March 1.
Elsewhere in Africa, Masala will take guests on a journey through South Africa and Zambia's stunning Victoria Falls.
A 14-day tour across Iran will see guests visit a whopping 11 UNESCO World Heritage sites, while Masala's 14-day Machu Picchu and Galapagos offering will take travelers to one of the Seven Wonders of the World and then to the Galapagos Islands via luxury yacht.

Meanwhile, the nine-day Peru Explorer tour will allow guests to get "up close and personal" with locals.
The new brand's 12-day tour of China will take guests on a four-day cruise of the Yangtze River as well as to four UNESCO World Heritage sites. Guests on this tour will also walk the Great Wall.
A 12-day journey through Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal will bring guests face to face with a Mt. Everest climber, while the 11-day Japan's Inland Sea to the Alps experience will take guests to five UNESCO World Heritage sites, a Zen garden and provide them sushi-making lessons.
All nine of the expeditions, which start at $3,999 per person, include luxury accommodations, flights, ground transportation and meals, among other fees and charges.
