As if travelers needed another reason to visit Jamaica, Ocho Rios is now the new home of the Caribbean's first double-decker catamaran.
Island Routes Caribbean Adventures will launch the 65-foot luxury vessel this month, offering three different tours for visitors to the Jamaican resort town.
The unique watercraft, named Calipsoul, has the capacity for up to 150 people and boasts a slew of exciting features across its two levels, including an all-inclusive bar, a waterslide, DJ booth and snorkeling equipment.
Calipsoul's debut itineraries are designed to suit every taste and interest.
The Dunn's River Catamaran Cruise will take guests to the scenic Dunn's River Falls and includes a snorkeling excursion and open bar while the Family Reggae Cruise features a more extensive snorkeling tour. Finally, the Lover’s Rock Catamaran Cruise will see guests sail the Jamaican coastline as they enjoy the sunset along with evening appetizers and cocktails.
"We're an ever-expanding and always-evolving company that is fueled by adventure and a desire to serve customers while going beyond customers' expectations, which is why we are so pleased to announce this brand new experience to our home country of Jamaica," said Island Routes CEO, Adam Stewart, in a statement. "Island Routes is setting a new standard for catamaran cruises by going above and beyond anything, tourists have seen. As we continue to seek out new destinations, new cultures, and new experiences, we look forward to welcoming aboard this first-of-its-kind attraction in the Caribbean."
