General Tours’ $400 per person savings, which it has been offering since last August, is into its closing weeks with an ending date of Dec. 31.

The offer applies to any of the company’s 2014 Small Group Journeys when paid in full at time of booking.

The Small Group Journeys travel with a maximum of 16 passengers for lithe and lively travel to places behind the scenes that larger groups cannot accommodate.

The series includes 24 tours to China, Tibet, Japan and Southeast Asia; 11 to India, Sri Lanka and New Zealand; 23 programs to Latin America and Antarctica; 17 to Europe, Israel and Morocco, including Eastern Europe and Russia; and six programs to Africa, including the Serengeti, Botswana and South Africa.

The company has also put in place special festival departures that are timed to coincide with major festivals in various destinations, such as the Perahera Festival in Sri Lanka, the Tet celebrations of Vietnam and the Inca Festival of the Sun in Cuzco.
