New South America Products and Selling Tips From Avanti

As South America continues to draw record numbers of visitors, Avanti Destinations is increasing its offerings in the region.
Patagonia, spanning Chile and Argentina, is one of the fastest-growing tourism areas on the continent and its new offerings highlight the unique opportunities in the area.
Avanti announced new experiences that include crab fishing, kayaking, bike touring and an estancia (ranch) visit, as well as new hotels.
“Combining Chile and Argentina saves your clients precious vacation time since there’s no back-tracking for the flight home to the same capital city where they arrived,” said Harry Dalgaard, Avanti’s founder and CEO.
“We offer seven destinations within Patagonia, and the distances are long. Besides, the wildlife and scenery vary from place to place, so your client gets maximum exposure to all that makes this region fantastic by combining the two countries,” Dalgaard added.
When creating a custom itinerary to South America, Avanti suggests considering factors such as peak seasons, activities and pricing.
Travelers heading to the region should note that October through March have the warmest temperatures of almost 65 degrees, but travelers can take advantage of off-peak pricing and fewer tourists if they travel during September and April.
Suggested itineraries from Avanti include the customizable two-country Patagonia Explorer. There are two variations of this itinerary, a land-only journey and a cruise and land trip. Guests can also choose to begin in either Santiago or Buenos Aires.
The suggested itinerary is 12 days and 11 nights and includes unique opportunities for activities in the region such as a gourmet lunch in Ushuaia, a bike tour, an estancia experience with lunch in Puerto Natales and kayaking in Agua Fresca Bay in Punta Arenas.
The land-based package includes two nights in Santiago, four nights in Torres del Paine National Park with daily guided tours plus all meals, two nights in El Calafate and three nights in Buenos Aires.
The cruise tour includes two nights in Santiago, a four-night cruise with daily tours/excursions and all meals onboard a 100-cabin ship, two nights in El Calafate and three nights in Buenos Aires.
Prices for either journey start at $4,325.
