Touring The Natural Wonders Of The US With Trafalgar
Tour Operator Trafalgar Lisa Iannucci January 30, 2017

You don’t have to travel outside of the United States to see some of the most beautiful, natural wonders of the world. They are housed right here in our national parks and Trafalgar Tours can take you on guided tours of these beauties.
Take, for example, Old Faithful, located in Wyoming’s Yellowstone National Park. This geyser blows 4,000 to 9,000 gallons of boiling water out its top approximately every 74 minutes. It’s a sight to see!
But don’t leave Yellowstone just yet without seeing Yellowstone River and its 45 waterfalls in its 700 miles. These waterfalls range in size of height and intensity. For example, the Upper Falls is significantly smaller than other falls, but the 109-foot powerful cascade is absolutely stunning.
Right near Wyoming is another breathtaking spot in America. Located at Utah’s Arches National Park are more than 2,000 stone arches, including Delicate Arch, the most recognized landmark in the park. This beautiful red structure stands 65 feet tall and is freestanding as the salt below it has worn away, leaving behind this amazing natural wonder. Then there’s Balanced Rock, located next to the park's main road, which stands 128 feet tall.

When it comes to breathtaking views, you don’t want to miss Glacier Point at Yosemite National Park in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. Hike to the top and get a view unlike any other. You’ll see Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, and the High Sierra.
At the Monument Valley, Colorado Plateau it might look like there has been a fight at the OK Corral and that’s for good reason. This Wild West location has been known to have many westerns filmed here. Its flatlands are a perfect location for Hollywood. During the years, the sandstones have eroded away, except for the formations that rise up in the area in different parts of this 130,000 square miles within northwestern New Mexico, southeastern Utah, and northern Arizona.
Who would want to visit something that has the word death in it? After all. Death Valley is the hottest, driest national park in the United States, but don’t let the name fool you. Death Valley is home to so many beautiful things for you to see, including mudstones, canyons, mountains, wildflowers and more. Death Valley National Park straddles between eastern California and Nevada and is also known for the ghost town located in Titus Canyon and Badwater Basin’s salt flats.
Take a Trafalgar trip today, such as its Scenic Parks Explorer or National Parks Wonders. These blend trips to old west towns like Jackson, Cody, Sheridan and Montpelier, national parks like Yellowstone and Grand Teton, and historic monuments like Mount Rushmore. The trips vary in length and include touring in air-conditioned coach buses, hotel accommodations, expert travel guides, VIP entry to some sites and free time to explore on your own.
The National Park Service, responsible for taking care of our national parks, turned 100 in 2016 and, if you haven’t visited the parks yet, or it’s been awhile, now is a great time to get out and see some of the most beautiful sites this country has to offer.
