Carnival announced Thursday that they recently shared with travel agents details regarding a new “Wave Season” promotion offering discounts of up to $400 per stateroom on a variety of “Fun Ship” departures booked in the month of January.
In addition, Carnival is offering a $25 bonus commission for bookings on voyages of six days or longer departing between May 1 and Aug. 31, 2014.
The Wave Season special discount offer includes savings of up to $200 per stateroom on two- to five-day departures and savings of up to $400 per stateroom on voyages of six days or longer.
Additional consumer offers will be available throughout the month of January. These special offers will be communicated to travel agents via email and through the line’s travel agent Internet portal, GoCCL.com throughout the month.
“Travel agents have told us that advanced notice of promotions and the ability to earn more for bookings are very important to them and we’re committed to making both of these possible with this promotion and future ones, as well,” said Joni Rein, Carnival’s vice president of worldwide sales.
“Our sales force will be actively working with agents in the field to further support sales and marketing efforts starting now and continuing throughout the entire Wave Season.”
Reservations must be made between January 1-31, 2014, to qualify for this special Wave Season promotion which is available in conjunction with voyages within three months prior to sailing on two- to five-day cruises and within five months prior to sailing on cruises of six-days or longer.
The promotion is available on a wide range of three- to eight-day cruises to the Bahamas, Caribbean and Mexico departing from 12 convenient North American homeports located along the eastern seaboard and the Gulf and West Coasts. The offer is valid only on new individual bookings and certain other restrictions apply.
