When she is not working as a technology project manager in financial services by day, she is a sci-fi junkie and travel agent designing one-of-a-kind vacations for other fantasy lovers. 

35-year-old Brooklyn resident Jennifer Tavis is new to the travel industry, but sets her Curious World Travel business apart by successfully discovering a way to incorporate her passion for travel and fantasy adventure to make the make-believe world a reality.  Travelers looking for a different experience that will appease their sci-fi addictions can visit their favorite fictional movie or book under her direct care. 

For Harry Potter fans wanting to zip through the pages of the Hogsmead’s curious world, Tavis provides an escape to Disney’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter to see this mystical place up close, and New Zealand is ideal for retracing the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, which she admits is one of her favorites.  When it comes to creating an unconventional adventure, there is no fantasy too big for Tavis to create  whether in Great Britain, Northern Island, New Zealand or across the United States.

 “I am a fan who wants to offer other fans unique trips other than a beach destination like the Bahamas,” said Tavis.  "I love science fiction and travel and no one else out there is doing this, so it would be fun to plan these trips for a large audience.”

Whether you are a child or a child at heart, Tavis acknowledges that these films have huge followers, but not many agencies target to this market.  Traveling to these curious worlds is not only exciting for Tavis, but a great way to share a common interest with her customers; especially since she already finds fulfillment in helping others plan their getaways.

Travis recognizes that this service of action-packed travel is a luxury and getting vacationers to make the purchase comes with much research and planning, but she extends a helping hand to ensure she is offering excellent travel services, giving that personal touch and designing the ideal trip they are looking for.
