Last-Minute Fams for American Queen Preferred Agents

American Queen Steamboat Company—which operates iconic paddleboat cruises along America’s most popular rivers—is offering a chance for qualified travel agents to experience the product first hand. The river cruise company has announced three last-minute fam trip getaways this February, all departing from the Port of New Orleans.

Two “Music on the Mississippi” itineraries, departing February 20 and February 23, dives into the south of the 1950s and 1960s on five-day itineraries. In addition to New Orleans, the vessel will call upon Nottoway and Oak Alley Louisiana, and passengers will explore plantations and gardens along the way. The final departure, the nine-night “A Swinging Good Time on the Mississippi” itinerary, departs February 25. An expanded version of the above itinerary, this sailing makes stops in Oak Alley and St. Francisville, Louisiana; Natchez and Vicksburg, Mississippi; and then Baton Rouge and Nottaway, Louisiana before returning to New Orleans. Along the way, guests will indulge in great tunes of the big band era, with nightly onboard performances by the 13-piece “The Great American Swing Band.”

This year is an excellent time to visit New Orleans, as the city rolls out le rouge carpet for its 300^th birthday celebration. From Mardi Gras to local music events to Navy Week, guests will be sure to find a celebration underway, no matter when they visit.

Fam trip rates start at $75 per person, per night for qualified agents. Agents must have previously booked American Queen Steamboat Company itineraries in order to be eligible for travel. The rate includes cruise fares only and additional fees apply.
