Travel Technology Gabe Zaldivar January 07, 2017

We for one welcome our airport robot overlords.
And it’s CES 2017 where they will begin to take over the world. Or, at the very least, begin popping up in random places amid our travels.
The beloved convention that touts this upcoming year’s complement of innovation included something even travel nerds would love in the form of LG’s Airbot.
It’s basically a robot that looks like a combination of EVE from “WALL-E” and Rosie from “The Jetsons.”
The following video shows off what may just feature during your next airport adventure. And we have to say, it looks pretty darn amazing.

Engadget has more information on something we wouldn’t mind having for our home, even if it seems dedicated to issuing information on boarding times and gate locations.
Sadly, the innovation will pop up in just one place so far this year, Incheon Airport in South Korea.
We have to think something this cool will slowly grow out from there and begin popping up at other airports where these things will obviously serve pizza slices from resident Sbarro locations.
2017 is already looking bright as it will soon feature at least one instance of an airport boasting helpful robots.
