Winter is slowly loosening its grip over much of North America, but that doesn’t mean consumers won’t find more than a few “winter escape” hotel and resort packages still available across the Caribbean and Mexico.

Anguilla’s Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort, is tackling the category head-on with “Winter Escape” packages that feature a fifth free night and a $300 resort credit for travelers who book stays through March 31.

The Malliouhana packages also include daily continental breakfast. Resort credits can be used for dining, spa treatments and private tennis lessons. Daily yoga, beach fitness classes and non-motorized watersports including snorkeling and kayaking are also included as part of the packages.

Saint Lucia’s Anse Chastanet Resort, a favorite among romantic couples, is offering an “Adventure Anniversary” promotion featuring one free room night and a $250 resort credit to couples celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary. The offer applies to vacationers traveling between April 6 and Dec. 19 who stay a minimum of five nights. Vacationers must book travel by April 30.

The Anse Chastanet package also offers complimentary activities that highlight Saint Lucia’s magnificent natural beauty, including two scuba dives for certified divers or two snorkel boat trips; jungle biking excursions on resort trails, a guided plantation tour for two, and a half-day excursion to the island's drive-in volcano.

Daily rates start at $470 per person in superior accommodations. Resort meal plans include an all-inclusive option, and couples will be required to present a wedding certificate at check-in to be eligible for the package.

Hilton hotels and resorts in the Caribbean and Latin America are combining to offer “Stay Now & Play Again” packages that feature starting rates at $99 per night and discounts of 25 percent off the best available rates on a future stays in the region between May 1 and Dec. 31.

In addition, members of the Hilton HHonors loyalty program who book Stay Now & Play Again packages can opt to double their program points or miles through the “Double Your HHonors” offer, which is valid for stays from now through April 30. Participating properties include Puerto Rico’s Caribe Hilton San Juan, the Hilton Barbados Resort, The Hilton Curacao Beach Resort the Hilton Los Cabos Beach Resort and the Hilton Barra Rio de Janeiro.

The newly launched Hyatt Ziva Cancun is offering 50 percent off all rates and free accommodations for kids on bookings made March 6 through April 30. Under the offer, rates start at $265 per person, per night for standard double rooms. The offer applies to travel from August 18 through Dec. 21, 2016.
