A New Sailing Season Begins

Spring has recently made its appearance, and with that comes the beginning of the AmaWaterways 2019 sailing season.
This cruise line has grown to a fleet of 17 ships over the years, and they all get to return to the rivers after being docked for the winter months.
In 2002 when AmaWaterways launched its first ship, Baby Boomers made up the majority of guests. Today, there are still Baby Boomers, but also Gen X’ers, multi-generational families and groups of friends onboard.
The cruises appeal to more and more travelers each year, as the cruise line is constantly adding new activities and experiences. For example, in addition to biking and hiking tours, guests can also take part in stretching and core strengthening classes with the AmaWaterways Wellness Hosts.
River cruising is unique in that it allows travelers to experience multiple centrally located ports in one trip, without constantly packing and unpacking their bags. AmaWaterways does just that, and the wonderful crews onboard keep guests returning year after year.
