Avoid These Engagement Pitfalls

Getting engaged can be one of the most exciting times in life, but it can also be extremely stressful. Which family member’s advice do you take? How do you choose a venue? What can you afford?
The wedding pros at Funjet Vacations have laid out a few pitfalls newly engaged couples often experience and how to possibly avoid them before they even have a chance to get in the way. Whether you’ve chosen a small destination wedding or a large party in your hometown, these tips are sure to apply.
Guest List
There is no need to invite everyone you’ve ever interacted with in your life. If you’re on the fence with certain people, feel free to leave them off the guest list. Most people will understand that you have a budget and need to stick to the main people in your life.
Vendors
The wedding industry has grown over the years, and choosing vendors such as photographers, DJs and florists can prove to be a struggle. Some vendors are booking more than a year out, so it’s important to get on top of these things if you have specific companies in mind.

Vision
It’s important to talk to your vendors about what you envision on your special day. If you don’t communicate what you’re looking for, the venue, photos and music may not pan out to be what you wanted everything to look like. Plan a few meetings prior to the big day.
Feeling Stressed
On one hand, you’re going to have the time of your life planning your wedding. However, there will be days when it seems like the most stressful time you’ve been through. Try to keep an open mind, and stay positive when you encounter bumps in the planning. It’s okay if everything is not completely perfect!
