Celebrate Pride Month

June is Pride Month, so show your pride!

GOGO Vacations loves celebrating the LGBTQ community and this month they’re showcasing events around the world for everyone to celebrate. GOGO has vacation packages all over the globe, with many right here in the United States.

Here are some terrific Pride Month events happening in North America.

LA! Pride

From June 2-10, Los Angeles hosts its pride week, with the big festival on June 9 and 10 in West Hollywood. Some special events in the area can be found at Universal Studios Hollywood on June 2 and 3, Women’s Night at the LA Sparks on June 7, and LGBT Night at the LA Dodgers on June 8.

Key West Pride

The Key West Pride celebration is from June 6-10. Explore the Pride Street Fair and enjoy a weekend filled with Pride readings, pool parties, karaoke and the Ms. and Mr. Key West Pride competitions.

New Orleans Pride Festival

New Orleans always knows how to party. The New Orleans Pride Festival is from June 8-10 and will welcome more than 100,000 LGBTQ community members and friends. It all begins with the Pride Glow Kick-Off Party on Friday and continues through the weekend with PrideFest and the Pride Parade.

Chicago Pride

The Chicago Pride Festival will be held on June 16-17 with the Chicago Pride Parade taking place on June 24. The 49th annual Pride Festival will feature three stages and the Pride Parade will have 150 floats, vehicles and marching bands partying in the streets.

Pride Toronto

The major festivities for Pride Toronto take place from June 22-24. However, the city of Toronto raised the Rainbow Flag and Trans Flag at City Hall on June 1. More than a million people will converge to the city streets of Toronto for the Pride Parade on June 24.

San Francisco Pride Parade & Celebration

From June 23-24, San Francisco will host one of the oldest and largest LGBTQIA parades in the world. The event will have several speakers and performers across 20 stages, as well judges awarding prizes in the parade for categories like Absolutely Fabulous Musical, Theme, Marching, Float, and Sponsor, as well as Absolutely Outrageous.

NYC Pride Week

New York City will hold its Pride Week from June 17-24, but there will also be a Human Rights Conference on June 14. The week-long celebration celebrates all areas of Pride, including OutCinema, Garden Party, Family Movie Night, VIP Rooftop Party, and Youth Pride. Billie Jean King, Lambda Legal, Tyler Ford and Kenita Placide are the 2018 Grand Marshals of the March on June 24.
