Experience Mexico's Culture in One Place

The list of fascinating cultural activities at Mexico's Xcaret eco-archeological park might as well go on forever.
Visitors will learn all about the history of the Mayan people through remarkable archeological sites and experience what daily life is like at the Mayan Village, which features authentic homes, rituals and artworks that guests can even take home with them.
Meanwhile, the Papantla Flyers put on a must-see ritual ceremony. The five "bird men" climb to the top of a tall pole where one dances and plays music in honor of the sun and the four elements while the other four imitate birds, using long ropes to fly around the pole in a spiral descent until they reach the ground.
Visitors can also admire the horses of Xcaret during an exhibition at the Mexican Corner. Guests can even marvel at the Aztec horses and talented rodeo performers while enjoying classic cuisine at La Cocina Restaurant.
The Xcaret Mexico Espectacular is yet another can't-miss cultural experience, featuring more than 300 artists showcasing Mexico's history from pre-Hispanic times to present day through songs, dance and more. The impressive night show takes place at Xcaret's Gran Tlachco Theater.
What's more, visitors can tour a replica of an authentic Mexican cemetery. The colorful attraction features seven levels that symbolize the days of the week, 52 steps representing the weeks in a year and 365 tombs for the number of days in a year.
Guests can also dive into regional flavors at an array of dining venues, examine eye-catching Mexican folk art and even tour a 19th-century mansion in the Hacienda Henequenera.
