IBEROSTAR hotels in the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Mexico have been hosting a tour of chefs since last October and they are setting the next Chef on his way around the world. Fernando Pérez Arellano is one of Spain’s most well known chefs and is joining the culinary tour this month to bring his gastronomic delights such as El huevo negro – or "black egg" – to diners in those three countries.
The "black egg" is the perfect combination of cuttlefish caviar and white onion and just one of the tricks Chef Fernando has up his sleeves. He has created a mix of Spanish tradition and contemporary touches with a solid background influenced by various types of cuisine from around the world.
The tour lasts until October and brings Michelin Star award-winning chefs from Spain to other countries of the world to showcase the talents of the mother country while melding styles with the local cuisine of the tour. The final stop on the tour is a conglomerate of five Michelin Star award-winners coming together for one great meal.
IBEROSTAR Hotels and Resorts was founded by the Fluxà family in 1986 and has more than 100 resorts across 16 countries. For more information on the tour or how to book your ticket to the next Culinary Chef Tour, click here.
