St. Lucia’s Coat of Arms at Marigot Bay Resort & Marina

In 1967, Sydney Bagshaw designed the Coat of Arms, a symbol officially sealing the Government of St. Lucia. A few years later in 1979, this design was transformed into today’s version which has more color and depth to it.
Despite the changes, the overall representation and motto stay the same: “The Land, The People, The Light.” Visitors to the Marigot Bay Resort & Marina get to experience each aspect during their stay at the resort.
The Land is witnessed through the beautiful scenery around the property, including the lush trees and gardens. There is something gorgeous to take in at every twist and turn.
The golden sunshine and bright Caribbean sky make their appearance each day representing The Light. Guests are able to gaze at the stunning sunrises, sunsets and starry nights throughout their vacation.
Possibly the most important of them all is The People. The people at Marigot Bay Resort & Marina and in St. Lucia in general help make a vacation to this island so much more memorable. Visitors will feel welcome upon arrival and a warmth from the people throughout their entire stay.
It’s an experience that will leave guests wanting to come back for a visit year after year.
