What an Island Tour in The Bahamas Can Teach You

Don’t just visit The Bahamas, go explore and learn as much as you can about the historic island and its rich culture.
And a great way to do that is to take part in an Island tour.
The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism details what you can learn on a tour.
1. Clifton Heritage Park has three beaches in the back: Jaws Beach, Snorkel Site and the Johnstone Beach.
2. Where can you find the largest underwater sculpture in the world? Yes, that’s right, it’s just behind the Clifton Heritage Park.
3. Built to help for war against the French, Fort Fincastle, Fort Charlotte and Fort Montague are all beautiful, but only actually saw action in the war.
4. Fort Charlotte is really three forts in one; “Fort Charlotte (the eastern side), Fort Stanley (the middle section) and Fort D’Arcy (the western section).”
5. You can spot old drawings from soldiers on the walls of Fort Charlotte.

6. The Cave of New Providence is underground and it is an exceptional spot to take photo shoots.
7. While there are bats in the Cave of New Providence, they won’t come near humans because our bodies produce too much heat.
8. People can swim in the cave when the tide gets high, but be warned this is usually when it gets crowded.
