The Transportation Security Administration, often abbreviated TSA, is responsible for protecting the nation by ensuring safe travel. TSA does this with various checkpoints in airports, railway inspections, and subway patrols. TSA was created after the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01, and works hard to maintain a balance between freedom of travel and safety for all.
