The TSA recently did their best David Letterman impersonation, counting down some of the wildest items they have had to confiscate over the last 12 months.
Look on in amazement at some of your more clueless fellow travelers and join us in shaking our collective heads in bewilderment. Honestly, we just can't fathom how anyone would think bringing some of these things to the airport would be a good idea.
To recap, many of your fellow airport-bound travelers have a thing for fake grenades and simply must have them on their person at all times. We understand. We never leave home without our smartphone or a box of Jujyfruits. So who are we to judge?

Still, you won't have much luck getting some of these things through.
As the TSA explains in the caption: "Our officers have kept a lot of dangerous and often times wacky items off of commercial aircraft this year. As our end of year gift to our followers, we'd like to share our #TopTen Most Unusual Finds of 2016!"
The list includes, among other things, a grenade hitch, a Hello Kitty pistol, a barbed wire baseball bat, a gilded grenade and a mummified corpse prop.
To those of you currently packing away fake weapons, you should probably rethink your carry-on decisions.
