Update 3:30 PST: Since the original press time, in an emailed statement to TravelPulse, United has confirmed the dog arrived safely.

Our customer's dog was safely reunited with its owner Friday evening. We have been in touch with our customer to sincerely apologize for this mistake and are providing a refund, said the statement.

Original Story

United Airlines is bearing the brunt of another very public customer service complaint after it delivered the wrong dog to rapper Schoolboy Q on Friday.

The rapper purchased his newest fuzzy BFF-a French bulldog puppy, according to TMZ-and had it flown in from Denver. But when the pooch arrived in Los Angeles, it was the wrong dog.

The rapper said he contacted United about the snafu but he also took to Twitter to vent his frustration.

United responded to the rapper, via a tweet.

TMZ spoke with Schoolboy Q, who confirmed United had also contacted him in person and was expected to deliver the right dog to the rapper in LA.

The Frenchie will join the rapper's two other "sons" @Halldale_canecorso_ & @figaro_doberman_.

While sympathies go to the rapper, let's also remember that somewhere in America there's another, more silent customer, who either got the wrong dog or at the very least is waiting for his pup. Because United cargo messed up twice. They didn't just erroneously scan one shipping manifest but rather two of them.

Which leads to the same question the American public has been asking since last April, "How could this happen?"

United, of course, has been at the center of a number of controversies this year, including the notorious dragging a doctor off a flight, destroying a $40,000 custom wheelchair and many others. It was also recently reported that United has had the most animal deaths out of any airline, including the widely reported case of a deceased giant rabbit.

Here's hoping the other, more quietly inconvenienced pet owner also gets his pet back safely. If you did recently receive a dog that doesn't belong to you, may we suggest the tweet: "I got Schoolboy Q's dog. Thanks, @United."
