Grammy-award winning artist Alanis Morisette has been named brand ambassador of the new Illy Art Collection, an espresso cup and saucer set, available exclusively on Costa Cruises, supporting female coffee producers in Costa Rica.
Inspired by the documentary "A Small Section of the World" produced by Illy Caffè in 2014, the cup and saucer are decorated with lyrics from "The Morning," the film's soundtrack by Alanis Morissette.
"A Small Section of the World" was directed by Oscar-winning director Lesley Chilcott and is inspired by the story of the foundation of the Asomobi Asociación de Mujeres Organizadas de Biolley (ASOMOBI), the country's first association of women coffee producers. The documentary is an emotional journey to discover how a cup of coffee has transformed the lives of many women and allowed their potential to emerge.

Social sustainability is an important issue for Illy that focuses special attention on the role of women in the coffee industry, promoting and supporting their development and education. Proceeds from the sale of the Illy Art Collection by Alanis Morissette and downloads of the song "The Morning" from iTunes provide support for the education and emancipation of the women who work in the coffee industry.
The collection linked with the Canadian artist will be available in advance for two months on board the fleet of Costa Cruises, with which Illy reached an important cooperation agreement in 2014, and shares the values and commitment in terms of sustainability.
In June, the Illy Art Collection, consisting of two espresso cups with the same decoration, the DVD "A Small Section of the World" and a can of Illy coffee, will be available at Illy sales outlets and on www.illy.com.
The price of the package is $50.
