MSC Cruises announced a series of enhancements to its onboard family programs Tuesday, including the introduction of a sports program designed specifically for kids.
Other additions include a kids-dedicated interactive cooking class that was designed with the help of Michelin-starred chef Carlo Cracco and an exclusive MSC Cruises ship toy developed by LEGO.
For the first time this summer, kids ages 3 to 17 sailing the Caribbean and Mediterranean with the Swiss-based cruise line will be able to participate in its new DOREBRO sports program. The program comprises two 45-minute sessions a day and includes popular sports including football, basketball, baseball, handball and dodge ball.
Kids are split up into three appropriate age groups and parents can even join in if they wish.

Meanwhile, kids ages 3 to 11 will also have access to the DOREMI Chef by Carlo Cracco cooking class, where they'll work with MSC Cruises chefs and the on-board MSC Cruises mascot DOREMI to make dishes like homemade pasta.
MSC Cruises has also teamed up with LEGO to offer a toy version of the MSC Meraviglia, the cruise line's next-generation smart ship set to launch next year. Passengers can purchase the model for $12 at the on-board MSC Cruises logo shop or click here to enter a giveaway contest.
MSC Cruises also celebrates at least one LEGO Experience Day on every cruise itinerary. The program includes a variety of activities designed for children of all different ages.
"Kids-dedicated activities and other family related services have always been at the very core of our guest offering and are strengthened on an ongoing basis by further additions - thus making this element of our offering one of the richest at sea," said MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato in a statement.

Beyond the new additions, families can take advantage of special savings with MSC Cruises. For example, kids younger than 12 sail for free, while kids ages 12 to 17 receive a discount.
Chicco services are also offered for families traveling with younger children or babies.
Language courses for children, a range of family dining options, aqua parks and pools are just some of the many other family-friendly offerings passengers will find aboard an MSC Cruises ship.
