The top-rated comedy series "Modern Family" will film an episode in Australia in February, according to a press release from Qantas.
Qantas, in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, will fly the cast and crew from Los Angeles to Australia.
Filming is expected to take two weeks. The episode, which features the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker family going on a vacation, is scheduled to air later this season.
"We are excited to partner with Twentieth Century Fox to promote what Australia has to offer to the world through this special holiday episode," Qantas CEO Alan Joyce said in a statement." "The humor of the show is a great fit with Australia's own and as the national carrier we are proud to support this innovative way of encouraging more people to fly to here."
Producer Steven Levitan joked that the cast and crew is still getting familiar with the destination.
"We promise to feature a kangaroo, a koala and a boomerang," Levitan said. "I'm sure there will be lots more, but so far that's all we know about Australia - our American school system is a disaster."
The show's appearance in Australia is expected to help tourism in the country. According to Joyce, 25 million people are projected to watch the episode when it first airs.
The Qantas-Twentieth Century Fox partnership brought "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to Australia in 2013, which reportedly increased inbound flights to New South Wales by 22 percent.
"Modern Family" producers will scout Australia in January for specific filming locations.
