The premier culinary festival in the Midwest, the Kohler Food & Wine Experience is in its 17th year as an epicurean tradition.
The event takes place at Destination Kohler from October 19 to 22, and its impressive roster is a who's who of celebrity chefs with the Food Network and Bravo's top culinary shows.
Richard Blais, winner of Bravo's "Top Chef All-Stars," will be participating. In addition to winning "Top Chef All-Stars," Blais is a James Beard Award-nominated cookbook author, television personality and restaurateur.
James Beard Foundation Award winner and executive chef of Butter, New York, Alex Guarnaschelli will also be in attendance. Guarnaschellii is a frequent judge on the Food Network series "Chopped" and was also the winner of "The Next Iron Chef: Redemption."
Stephanie Izard was the first female to win "Top Chef" and was recently crowned Food Network's "Iron Chef." Her accolades include being honored as a James Beard "Best Chef: Great Lakes" recipient as well as the executive chef of three award-winning Chicago restaurants: Girl and the Goat, Little Goat, and Duck Duck Goat.
Jeff Mauro, host of the "Sandwich King," "$24 in 24" and more will also be on hand as well as the cast from "America's Test Kitchen."
The theme of this year's event spins off that show's name: "America's Text Kitchen."
"Kohler Food & Wine celebrates the confluence of great food and wine, quality ingredients and local flavors," said Jenna Check, Associate Director of Special Events. "We're thrilled to welcome industry pioneers, Midwestern talent, renowned purveyors, winemakers and craft producers to the stage this October for this signature celebration."
Tickets for the festival will be on sale starting August 8.
Guests can combine a hotel stay with select special events for those wanting to fully immerse themselves in the festival's culinary delights.
