A baby boy born aboard an international Jet Airways flight is already cashing in on his unique entry into the world.
According to Mashable, the Indian airline has rewarded the newborn with free flights for life after he was born Sunday amid a five-hour flight from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to Kochi, India.
The flight was diverted to Mumbai after a woman went into premature labor. A paramedic and members of the flight crew attended to the passenger while airborne.
"Jet Airways commends its crew for their response and promptness that saw them successfully translate their training into life-saving action," the airline said in a statement to BBC.
In an email to Mashable a spokesperson for the airline confirmed the child is the first to be born on a Jet Airways flight.
"The guest delivered a baby boy at 35,000 feet," the spokesperson said. "Upon landing, both mother and the baby were rushed to Holy Spirit Hospital in Mumbai and are doing well."
The Boeing 737 was carrying 162 passengers and six crew members before adding a 163rd passenger along the way.

Sunday's miraculous birth comes two months after a woman gave birth 42,000 feet up aboard a Turkish Airlines flight.
Last year, a baby was prematurely born aboard a Cebu Pacific Air flight traveling from Dubai to the Philippines. A passenger on that flight claimed the baby would receive free travels for a lifetime as a result.
