If you want to sate that hunger for delicious food while satisfying your need to travel, then head to California.

That’s what we gleaned from’s extensive Ultimate Foodie Road Trip interactive map.

The map, which can be seen below, represents some of the best food stops around the nation. And, spoiler alert, California is well represented with 46 of the top 100 restaurants found on Yelp.

The next great state to come in second is New York with a measly eight restaurants.

That just means you now can pick off one location after another on the ol’ bucket list with a western road trip that will deplete the gas tank but fill the belly.

Here is the gorgeous and, well, delicious map.

As noted, Trippy worked off Yelp’s grand list of the top 100 places to eat in the nation and simplified it all down into a map that works like one expansive culinary itinerary.

If you are looking at cities that house top ten restaurants across various cuisines, Trippy’s blog illustrates Los Angeles, New York City and San Francisco as towns you really need to have on your radar.

The map whittles down the work to represent 92 restaurants nationwide that can be reached by its easy-to-use map.

As it states, website came in handy in plotting what it states is “the most efficient path to the restaurants on Yelp's top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S.”

Trippy previously offered a similar road trip map for those who might want to frequent this country’s proud selection of bars.

This map, however, might be easier for those who don’t want to taxi it around the expanse of a city. Although you may want to pack away the antacids for a road trip that is sure to have you go up a couple sizes around the waist, but in a great way.
