It was a good week to be Leonardo DiCaprio as well as a screaming goat.

Of course, you understand what we mean when we reference the winner of the Academy Awards Best Actor award. But you might want some explanation about that rather loud four-legged animal.

It’s all has to do with the SAFETYS, a completely fabricated award show from Delta Air Lines that is authentically funny.

The airline teased its dramatic unveiling, which took place while the Oscars were unfolding on Sunday:

Basically, it was time for those memes and characters that have featured in Delta’s many safety videos to take a bow.

It was this week’s award presentation that was thankfully devoid of any Stacey Dash awkwardness.

The above took some time to hat tip various Internet characters and memes that have shown up in previous safety videos, such as those unveiled last May and August.

Now it was wonderful to see DiCaprio finally get his Oscar. But I am willing to wager that just as many people have been waiting to see Screaming Goat get its SAFETY.

The lack of recognition was reaching Gary Oldman levels of concern. But then, finally, it happened.

In other news, Slow-Mo Guy very nearly got played off for what as an egregious waste of time:

Coming in like a neighborhood alarm clock, Leaf Blower took the top prize in what was a talent-congested category.

As you can plainly see, it was a fine night on social media at the SAFETYS. It was the kind of black-tie affair that people who love to refresh their Twitter feeds can appreciate.

We will now sit patiently and await the obvious changes the come with a world dominated by a Screaming Goat.
