Disney CEO Bob Iger had some news that was out of this world on Tuesday.
According to parties present on the Disney earnings call, we now have more of an idea when to expect the massive Star Wars Land areas as well as the upcoming complement that is James Cameron's envisioned Pandora.
Disney Magic hit Twitter with the news, which finally gives us a concrete date for Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
However, there are expected to be soft opening dates to precede this grand unveiling, one suggested possibility is May 20.

And, like any good destination, there is a tourism website of sorts. Disney unveiled this Visit Pandora site to keep you excited until the spring.
TravelPulse's Erik Yates previously broke down what we might expect from Pandora at Disney World in an article last November.
One that seems to be confirmed at the website is the Flight of Passage, which will have you soaring on what should be as close to an actual Banshee as possible.
There was also some exciting Star Wars news to be had:
Thankfully, we will get Star Wars fare at both parks a tad earlier than expected, beating some estimates of 2020 by a year.
Yates also scrounged up some awesome rumors on what we might experience with Star Wars lands taking up both coasts in a couple years.
While we only have but a date of 2019, Yates did find some promising gossip last November: "The entire world will be immersive in this new Star Wars story, which will exist alongside, but outside of the films. Instead of sitting down to eat at a themed restaurant, you'll be walking into something that works like a renaissance fair. You'll be greeted not by humans, but by aliens in very detailed costumes. Once seated, you'll be treated to something like a dinner show, as performers take the stage, and your meal is brought out to you."
They are crafting something that many compare to Universal's Harry Potter experience. And when it comes to something that immersive, it's rather a surprise that we will get it so soon.
We may as well add that the surprise, in this case, is a wonderful one.
