The real winner of this year’s awards season might have been Matthew McConaughey’s catchphrase – “Alright, Alright, Alright.”

But, the line isn’t just another cute quotation, it’s the first line McConaughey ever uttered on screen.

The scene was for the movie "Dazed & Confused" in which Matthew plays Wooderson, a man in his early 20s who can’t quite let go of his high school days. McConaughey has explained he picked up the line after listening to "The Doors Live."

The now iconic line was first filmed at the drive-in Top Notch Hamburgers in Austin, TX. Located at 7525 Burnet Rd, the Top Notch had closed briefly after its longtime owner died but reopened in 2008 and continues to get solid reviews. Top Notch is open seven days a week, 11 a.m.- 10 p.m.
