Well, fortunately for you travelers, several hotels and airports are offering surfing packages and experiences for the rest of 2014 and beyond.
Whether you want to catch the perfect wave in Hawaii, enjoy the warms waters of Los Angeles or go heli-surfing in New Zealand, the world is your oyster.
Heck, you can even surf in landlocked Munich, Germany.
Here are five ways travelers can surf in style across our marvelous planet.
Le Meridien Delfina Santa Monica (Santa Monica, Los Angeles)
For families and individuals alike, Le Meriden Santa Monica's surfing package includes several benefits.
For one, guests can enjoy a 20 percent discount on local surfing lessons with experts to catch the perfect wave.
On top of that, the package includes a 15 percent discount on meals at the hotel's Longitude Bar & Restaurant, a discounted rate on all luxury guestrooms (starting at $269 per night) and a picnic basket filled with local innovative dishes such as Citrus Quinoa and Asian Cucumber Salads.
And given Le Meridien Delfina Santa Monica is just a few blocks from the beaches of Los Angeles, it also offers sweeping ocean and prime sunset views.
Surf at Munich Airport (Munich, Germany)
Munich may be surrounded by land, but that doesn't mean you can't surf there.
The Munich Airport Center will bring back "Surf & Style" for the fourth year from July 30 until Aug. 24. The surfing experience allows travelers to hang ten in a 200-square-meter basin via pumps that create waves 10 meters wide and 1.5 meters high.
Three-day camps for children and teens will again be offered during weekdays this year, where aspiring surfers receive lessons from experienced instructors at all levels from beginning to advanced. Advance registration at www.munich-airport.de/surfandstyle is required due to the popularity of the lessons.

Then check out the European championship in Stationary Wave Riding on Aug. 9 and 10. Munich's "urban surfers," who hone their skills in Munich's Eisbach stream, will compete against the international river surfing elite for prize money totaling 10,000 euros.

Turtle Bay Resort (Oahu, Hawaii)
Oahu's legendary North Shore will be the final stop on the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Championship Tour this winter, hosting some of the world's top surfers as they compete for $1 million in prize money and surfing titles on the spectacular waves of the Banzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and Haleiwa.
In response, Turtle Bay Resort, which is located on the North Shore, is offering several surfing packages for guests.
Guests can enjoy VIP access to the HIC Pro at Sunset beach or the REEF Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwan; have access to daily surfboard rentals from the renowned Hans Hedemann Surf School; meet surfing legends at the Hang Ten Pool Bar; acquire a VIP-access pass and shuttle to the second jewel of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, The Vans World Cup at Sunset Beach; massages; and, to top it off, enjoy VIP access and seating to the Billabong Pipe Masters, the final event of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing where the 2014 World Champion is crowned.

Alpine Adventures NZ (Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand)
Through Sept. 30, Alpine Adventures will be offering the "Heli Surf + Heli Ski" package, a unique offering that combines surfing and skiing in picturesque New Zealand.
Start off at legendary surf spot Big Bay on the West Coast of the South Island, guided by marine biologist, professional photographer and Big Bay surfing expert Warrick Mitchell. Mitchell shares his favorite surfing spots with customers, and then cooks up a feast on the beach afterward.
After that, join guides Tarn Pilkington and Mark Dewsberry for a skiing adventure at Mt. Earnslaw. Both have extensive heli-ski guiding and ski-patrol experience, and Pilkington has been searching for the best powder on the mountain for the past two decades.
On top of that, GoPro footage will be included to capture your most amazing moments while surfing, skiing and helicopter riding in beautiful New Zealand.

Surfset LA (El Segundo, Santa Monica, Los Angeles)
Surfset LA, currently available in El Segundo and coming soon to Santa Monica, offers a unique surfing/fitness program.
At Surfset LA, you won't actually be catching waves. But you will get that lean surfer's physique by the time you are done.
In the waterless surfing class, customers hop on a surfboard and do exercises designed to strengthen the core, define and sculpt muscles and burn fat. Workouts are designed to model actual surfing movements, while adding core exercises to make it a full workout. Think "Balance," "Burn," "Build" and "Blend."
The 45-minute classes are offered several days per week. The upcoming Santa Monica class will take place at Annenberg Community Beach House, which just so happens to be about a block away from Santa Monica Surf School on the waterfront.
