Kids can be travelers too.
And while many hotels and resorts are quick to offer adult guests a cold beverage or complimentary spa treatment upon their arrival at the front desk, oftentimes children are left out during the check-in process.
But not everywhere.
Here are four over-the-top hotel welcome amenities available to kids of all ages.
O'Hare Kids Kit

Where: Hilton Chicago O'Hare
Located within Chicago O'Hare International Airport, it's only fitting that the four-star Hilton Chicago O'Hare provides young guests with an "O'Hare Kids Kit" designed to improve their airport experience.
The kit includes a drawstring bag equipped with a personalized luggage tag and customized coloring books and toys based on the guest's age. The two-year-old kit is pictured above, but kits are available for older children as well.
Wolf Ears at the Lodge
Where: Great Wolf Lodge
North America's largest chain of indoor water parks is serious about its name, so much so that it doles out a pair of fake wolf ears to each and every guest upon arrival.

While parents and other adults aren't barred from donning the ears, it's no secret that this welcome amenity is traditionally a bigger hit with younger visitors.
What's more, kids checking in with their families on their birthdays receive a special pair of ears.
Rubber Duckie
Where: Kitano New York
The Big Apple's Kitano New York is unlikely to appeal to children as strongly as Great Wolf Resorts. But that doesn't mean this boutique hotel has forgotten about its littlest guests.
In fact, the only Japanese-owned hotel in New York City greets young children with a classic toy, the rubber duck, which they can take home with them after checking out. Meanwhile, older kids staying at the Kitano are encouraged to write with complimentary NYC-themed pencils.

Swimming Accessories in the Desert
Where: Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa
Boasting a five-pool oasis, it should come as little surprise that guests at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, Arizona love to swim.
Therefore, the resort has come up with the perfect welcome amenity for kids, handing out goggles and floaties to young guests so they can enjoy the hotel's top amenities regardless of age or swimming skill level.
Children are also greeted with fun foods that they'll want to eat on the spot, including French Fries. The irony is that they'll have to wait (at least 30 minutes) to use their goggles and floaties.
