Best Western Hotels & Resorts has signed the largest multi-hotel agreement in company history, inking a deal with real estate developer AD Houses Co. Ltd to open four Best Western Plus hotels in Thailand.
All four hotels will be new-build properties and three of the four will be the largest properties in Best Western's international portfolio upon completion.
The four hotels combine to represent a whopping 4,150 keys, with the Best Western Plus AD The Grand Jomtien Beach Pattaya accounting for roughly one-third of those.

The Best Western Plus AD Bang Saray Lake and Resort and Best Western Plus AD Hua Hin Lake and Resort will also feature well over 1,000 keys, while the Best Western Plus AD Wongamart Pattaya will be the smallest of the four, boasting 500 keys.
Interestingly, the landmark deal comes amid the company's 70th anniversary.
"In addition to celebrating Best Western's 70th birthday this year, 2016 also marks our 15th year of having a strong presence in Asia," said Best Western's senior vice president of brand management Ron Pohl in a statement.
"With Best Western's Asia Head Office located in Bangkok, Thailand is very much our 'home' market in Asia, and as such, we have a strong commitment to continue development across the country," added the company's managing director of international operations for Asia Olivier Berrivin.

This week's announcement comes one month after the Phoenix-based company announced a pair of agreements with Orion Hotels and Sorrel Hospitality in efforts to expand significantly in South Africa and South Asia, respectively.
Best Western's most recent announcement was also accompanied by news that the company will launch a pair of Vib hotels in the Thai capital of Bangkok, with the openings set for 2017 and 2018.
The company launched the urban boutique hotel concept along with its BW Premier Collection last year.
