Just a short drive north from Palm Beach, Fla., along the banks of the St. Lucie River lies the United States' only Club Med–the all-inclusive Club Med Sandpiper Bay.
Thanks to its amazing sports and children's programs, the resort is the ideal place for families looking for nearby get away that will leave guests thinking they’ve had a vacation on some far-away tropical isle.
Accommodations: Sandpiper Bay has 337 rooms spread out across seven, 2-story buildings situated along the picturesque banks of the St. Lucie River. Rooms are divided into two classes, Deluxe and Club. Deluxe rooms offer both family and interconnecting rooms. The latter are ideal for families with young children as little ones can be tucked happily in bed while their parents stay up to relax, enjoy a bottle of wine and plan for the next day's adventure. Like the Deluxe rooms, Club level rooms offer a choice of family or interconnecting accommodations, in addition to a spacious seating area and dressing room. All Club rooms feature a furnished terrace or balcony overlooking the St. Lucie River.
