How to Sleep in Two Countries at the Same Time

Have you ever wanted to be in two places at once? Well, one hotel actually allows you to sleep in two countries at the same time. 

Enjoy France and Switzerland simultaneously at the Hotel Arbez, an Alpine inn that is situated right on the border of the two countries. 

But make sure you book the right room — according to CondeNast, some of the rooms have you sleep with your feet in one country and your head in the other.

The hotel has a fascinating history, as does the Dappes Valley where the property is located. It was purchased in 1921 by Jules-Jean Arbeze, who opened the hotel, but the full story of the region’s controversial history begins in 1862 when borders were being redrawn and a local entrepreneur looked to capitalize on cross-border trade.
