Come this spring, The Palladium Hotel Group is breaking ground on a Grand Palladium complex in the northern part of Cancun, Mexico, and opening the Ayer Hotel Atocha, just opposite the Spanish capital's iconic railway station. These hotels will be added to the Palladium Hotel Group's wide portfolio of hotels and resorts throughout the Caribbean and Spain that won more than a combined 90 awards last year.
Those awards included a gold medal and a listing in Hotels magazine's "Top 300 Hotel Companies."
Based on Ibiza in the Balearic Islands, Palladium Hotel Group was established more than 40 years ago with the goal of promoting Spain, but has since grown and now has hotels and resorts in Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Oviedo, Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Córdoba and Seville in Spain, Sicily in Italy and the Mayan and Nayarit Rivieras in Mexico, Punta Cana and Playa Bávaro in Santo Domingo, Jamaica and Brazil.

The chain has more than 14,000 rooms and, in the high season, more than 10,000 employees.
Some of the accolades include taking the number one position in Central America and the Caribbean in Empresa Expansión's "Top Companies" ranking, with a special mention for its Bávaro and Vallarta complexes.
The Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa was named a "Top Hotel" by Expedia, but there's always room for improvement as the Group also announced that the Grand Palladium Resort & Spa complexes in Punta Cana and Jamaica will be undergoing some refurbishments in the common areas and on the restaurants and rooms.
The Mexican Centre for Philanthropy awarded the Best Practices Prize for the "Bahia de Kantenah Turtle Camp" at the Grand Palladium Riviera Resort & Spa. Here guests who visit the resort between May and October can participate in a tour of the turtle camps, see turtles laying eggs or participate in releasing its hatchlings into the sea.
The Resort & Spa also won awards for its environmental excellence, including the Mexican Institute of Normalization and Certification, Clean Beach Certification
Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa Complex in the Dominican Republic has won awards for its environmental excellence, including the Environmental Excellence in Cleaner Production Award and an excellence award from the Environmental Law Institute (Dominican Republic).

Its Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza was named a "Top Producer" and given an Award of Excellence from Booking. The Palladium Hotels Group will be opening a second Hard Rock Hotel on the island of Tenerife, which will feature 624 rooms, including 236 suites, spread across two towers - offering both a family-friendly and adults-only experience, three pools and access to a saltwater lagoon.
Also in Ibiza, the Ushuaïa Beach Hotel received a number of awards, such as "Best Hotel Club" in the Vicious Music Awards and the Golden Moon Award to "Best Club in the World" and "Best Business Development in Nightlife" from the International Nightlife Association. The Palladium Group also received certificates of excellence from TripAdvisor for a number of hotels, and quality certificates were received from Thomas Cook and the Zoover Awards for several of the group's hotels in Ibiza.
