Well-Being Travel announced at the inaugural Well-Being Travel Symposium on Wednesday that it will be accepting applications from suppliers and destinations for exclusive memberships beginning this spring.
The organization, which takes pride in being at the forefront of the health and wellness movement, is encouraging those in the travel business to take advantage of the educational and potentially lucrative opportunity.
Applications will be carefully reviewed to find the right fits for travel specialists that are part of the organization. Those who are accepted will be highlighted in the brand's exclusive supplier and destination directory, be able to get the inside scoop from Well-Being Travel's travel professionals, receive e-marketing support, and get discounts for Well-Being Travel conferences, webinars, and more.
The Well-Being Travel Symposium focused on the growing trend of health and wellness during the two-day conference, giving valuable information to travel professionals, top hotel executives, spa directors and travel suppliers, while also welcoming input from those in the industry.
"Health and wellness tourism is a very lucrative niche that is quickly growing," said Anne Marie Moebes, Executive Vice President of Well-Being Travel. "Our ultimate goal is to help travel professionals seize opportunities surrounding this very specific market. The message is very clear at our symposium this week; they want access to suppliers and destinations that are committed to health and wellness travel and we're delivering by helping both parties join forces to become even more profitable."
Well-Being Travel has already established relationships with some of the top wellness suppliers and destinations, including the MGM Grand, which has made waves with its innovative "Stay Well" room concept by Delos. EVEN Hotels - a new wellness concept hotel brand by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) - has also connected with Well-Being Travel, as well as the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council.
