If you’ve traveled for any amount of time you’ve heard or seen the name Belkin. Now the tech accessory juggernaut has a home at LAX’s new Terminal 6.
Los Angeles International Airport has a fresh terminal to celebrate and will now feature a well-known entity in the tech world.
According to a press release, the store opened this past May and houses exactly what you would expect in the form of crucial cables and screen protectors to save your tablet from those awful nicks.
It’s like a mirage for bleary-eyed business travelers who may have lost a charger or simply saw their power depleted to pitiful levels.
Only, this isn’t a mirage. This is an actual Belkin store that also promises a charging station to feed that tech gadget of yours.
Erik Burgers, director of sales at Belkin, was understandably excited about the prospects: “LAX is a major international travel hub, which made it the ideal destination for a Belkin store. As we continue to innovate in the accessories market, this outpost will be a great place for consumers to stock up on the latest chargers and other travel must-haves to power and protect all of their mobile devices.”
The store comes part of a collaboration with the Hudson Group. John Bradley handles merchandising for the company and explains that a Belkin storefront is perfect considering the demands of the modern traveler: “Consumer electronics accessories are a big seller across the board – especially charging and device protection products. With airport officials predicting a record of 24.5 million passengers passing through the airport this summer, it's the perfect time to collaborate with Belkin to open a stand-alone storefront in one of the busiest terminals at LAX.”
As noted, Terminal 6 is like a business traveler’s oasis with great food choices like The Habit Burger Grill, The Marketplace by Wolfgang Puck, Starbucks Evenings and Wahoo's Fish Taco.
Now you can hop off the plane, fuel your stomach and power your device in one fell swoop.
