Travel bloggers share with the world their travels. It’s really a gift for so many who don’t have the luxury of leaving their home and living on the road. Thankfully, there are those who bring the world to us with social media posts and blog updates.

Now the following is a list of various items that may just get you started in blogging your own travel excursions. Or, perhaps, they might enhance an already extensive blog.

Hardly an exhaustive list, we would love to hear things that you use in your respective travel archiving.

What follows are just a few things that we love and, from our conversations with travel professionals, apps and software that are loved by travel bloggers as well.

A relatively new app, Polarsteps makes your blogging a bit more automated by tracking your destinations so you don’t have to go back and plug in all your stops later.

Now you can worry about opining on that food you had or conjuring quips for that taxi debacle you had.

Photoshop Lightroom CC:

This software came up a couple times in our conversations with bloggers with an admiration for photography.

While you will have to pay for the service, it makes perfect sense for people on the go. Not only can you enhance your photos, but you can access the service across various devices.

Thankfully, you don’t have to break the bank to stylize your images. In fact, you can do it for free with this software bundle that will have you doling out deliciously refined photos to your legion of followers.

If you would rather edit your pictures in-camera, you have an intuitive solution in Snapseed.

It’s simple and comes with a wealth of features that will have even the most banal image looking absolutely spectacular.

Post Planner:

If you’re the type that wants far more control of your social media, then perhaps take this manager for a spin.

Take that selfie or portrait photo to the next level with an app dedicated to the best subject you can possibly photograph, another traveler.

However, if you want to reach the masses, it’s best to understand what will get read and clicked. This is a great place to start.

Again, this is just a brief list of things to consider. There are other obvious items that will go a great length to help you capture beautiful moments: GoPro, selfie stick and myriad social media accounts.

In time, you will discover what works for you and what kind of travel blogger you want to become.
