The last thing you want to see on an airplane is a passenger turning their respective seat into an actual bed. That is, unless, that passenger happens to be an adorable child.
YouTube channel Insider introduces the bigger adult travelers out there to a fascinating new carry-on luggage device for kids that turns into a bed. The device is called the Bedbox by JetKids, and it will soothe the most savage of little rug rats with a suitcase that unfolds to turn the cramped confines of an airplane seat into a little bed.
Here is a video that will have even grumpy adult travelers placated the minute they find out they are sitting by a family of children.
It’s enough to make you crave an adult version that isn’t called business class.
It would be wonderful to get to our seat and instantly use our luggage to make ourselves exponentially more comfortable. Such is the wonder that is being a little kid.
According to the website’s About section, it’s the very comfort of little ones that is at the heart of the new device: “The initial idea of creating a product like the BedBox came after several flights with our small daughter (which is now 8 years). It was hard for us to get her to sleep onboard planes, even when she was exhausted. It usually ended up with our daughter finally falling asleep, laying in her seat, with half her body in the seat, and the rest of her on top on one of us.”
The founders discovered there was a simple yet innovative way to give kids their own luggage while also offering a conveyance to conquer the wide expanse of airports and the tiny space between seats on actual airplanes.
Here's a more immersive video that highlights the suitcase:
All this can be yours for $169 for International orders.
For that price, you are giving your kids what looks like the comfort of business class in the usually confined spaces found just about anywhere on the plane.
